Family Law Fees

Affordable, Honest Fees

Our fees are intentionally structured to remain affordable and manageable. By offering affordable family law services, we ensure you can receive expert-level support from an experienced consultant without the high costs charged by many solicitors.

This approach not only keeps you in control of your finances but can also save you significant amounts throughout your case. We tailor our pricing to reflect your individual needs, offering cost-effective support that gives you confidence every step of the way.

Initial Consultation

30 Minutes Free and No Obligation

At Shield Family Law, we believe everyone should have the chance to receive clear, initial guidance without any financial commitment. That’s why Shield Family Law offer a free, 30-minute, no-obligation initial consultation. During this session, we’ll listen carefully to your situation, answer your questions, and explain how we can support you going forward. This consultation helps you understand your options so you can make an informed decision about proceeding. There is no cost or commitment required at this stage, giving you peace of mind from the very beginning.

Hourly Fees

Transparent and Fair

Our hourly rate is £110. However, this doesn’t mean you pay £110 for every interaction or piece of work. For example, if you have a 30-minute consultation, you would be charged only £55. This ensures you only pay for the time you actually use, meaning your family law fees remain fair, proportionate, and transparent.

To make managing legal costs easier, we require a small initial deposit before starting work but do not ask for any further money on account. We invoice monthly, allowing you to spread the cost of your case comfortably over time. Throughout your matter, we keep you fully informed of the work carried out and fees incurred, ensuring there are no surprises and that you remain in control of your finances every step of the way.

Fixed-Fee Services

Affordable and Clear Pricing

For many common family law matters, we offer affordable fixed-fee services starting from as little as £220. Fixed fees provide predictable costs and value for a variety of services, including but not limited to:

  • Drafting and reviewing consent orders to legally formalize agreements between parties.
  • Providing court attendance support during hearings and proceedings (please note that court fees and the nature of hearings can vary depending on the case).
  • Preparing separation agreements that clearly outline terms to protect your interests.
  • Creating parenting plan agreements which establish workable arrangements for child care and contact.
  • Additional family law documents and services tailored to your specific needs.

Fixed fees give you the reassurance of knowing the total cost upfront, helping you budget confidently without worrying about escalating legal bills. Many of our clients seeking affordable family law services find this option convenient and cost-effective, combining expert advice with transparent pricing.
